In this workshop, we will do dances that heighten our awareness to the body within and without, our selves and our relationship to the Earth. Circle Dance comes from a tradition of communities that dance together, to celebrate, to mourn, to bless the Earth and her seasons. Dancing in a circle is a unique and special experience of the group moving as one. It is accessible and inclusive as no partner is needed and all are equal in the circle. A greater sense of community and connection is enabled through these timeless and enduring dances. Many experience circle dance as uplifting, absorbing and enjoyable! Beginners are welcome as all dances are taught though some experience of circle dance or folk dance is useful.
