Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese system of self-cultivation developed specifically as a means by which each person may take full responsibility for protecting health and promoting vitality while cultivating spiritual awareness and insight. Qi Gong provides and quick and easy system of self health-care that is both safe and simple to learn and can be practiced day or night, at home or work, indoors or outdoors without requiring special equipment or athletic skills with the most basic training. Most forms of Qi Gong involve various degrees of gentle movement or stillness of the body, balanced with rhythmically regulated breathing, all quietly harmonized by a calm, unhurried and clearly focused mind. Soft, slow movement of the body prevents the stiffness and stagnation that lead to degeneration and illness.  

Rain or shine as we have a barn classroom for  inclement weather at the farm. Wear comfortable clothes and bring bug spray. 


Ann Federowicz, a licensed acupuncturist of Rivers of wellness acupuncture will be teaching the class. Ann has been practicing qi gong for over 15 years and teaches regularly at the Yoga Center of Newburyport.
